Austin Chambers comes to us with approximately 5 years of coaching experience working a majority of the time at the collegiate level. Austin worked with Baylor men’s basketball in 2006 under the guidance of Master Strength and Conditioning coach (MSCC) Charlie Melton. From 2009-2011 Austin served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Hardin-Simmons University. After leaving Hardin-Simmons University Austin worked for D1 Sports Training as a Facility Coordinator & Strength Coach for D1 Sports Training in Orlando, FL.
Austin has worked with many high school, collegiate and professional athletes that include: Tim Tebow, Jesse Palmer, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Tra Thomas, Hall of Fame baseball player Chipper Jones, Professional wrestler Mark LoMonaco aka “Bully Ray” and more.
Austin grew up in Abilene, TX playing competitively in many sports, but was primarily focused on Football, Track and Powerlifting. Austin played 1 year of collegiate football at Hardin-Simmons University before transferring to Baylor University where he had a stint with the 2004 football team as a preferred walk-on. Austin graduated from Baylor University in 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology and Austin graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Sport Management.
Austin’s love for competition is what attracted him to CrossFit, but most importantly being able to help and serve others to lead healthy lives is what has become a passion of his.
